Dare to Think Big!

This project challenges us to believe that we can affect our planet’s waterways, land, and atmosphere.  This project challenges us to believe that we can change matter in large quantities through spiritual healing techniques.  This project challenges us to think BIG, on a planetary level.

I do believe that it is possible to have an effect at the planetary level because there are already cases where there has been an effect on a smaller scale.  Dr. Masaru Emoto led a group of meditators who healed a lake.  Jesus calmed a storm (Mark 4:35-41, Matthew 8:23-27).  “The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!’”  And people are able to change the nature of matter when they soften and bend spoons.

(The reason that I tend to use Christian references is because that is what I know best.  Please feel free to contact me with any information from other faiths on this topic that you wish to share.  It is my desire that this be an inclusive project that brings together people from all faiths.)

I want to be clear on this:  I believe that anyone who believes that they can do this work CAN do it.  One of my goals in this project is to help participants see in themselves the possibility that they, too, are powerful far beyond what they might believe to be possible.

The time has come that humanity at large needs to understand the power that they hold.  Furthermore, the time has come to use those powers to steer this world out of its headlong rush into dystopia and absolute destruction.  It is time to use the powers within us to heal this planet and create this world in the way we would want it to be.  Love is the power within us that can make this happen.

The Bible hints at what is possible for us, for those who choose to see it.

As Jesus himself said, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods”’?”  (John 10:34)  The continuation of the verse Jesus cited says, “And all of you are children of the Most High.”  (Psalm 82:6)

Before we go further, it is important to point out something.  David in his psalm used the term “Most High.”  I would submit that this is a reference to what those in the lightworker community call “Source” or “All That Is.”  This is the God of which there is only one.

Being a child of the Most High is not something unique to Jesus.  The scriptures clearly state that each and every one of us has claim to being a god.  It is high time that we claim that birthright for ourselves.  The powers of the gods are not something limited to priests and politicians; rather, they are inherent in every one of us.  We were born with them.  They are our birthright.

Paul even entreated us to claim that power for ourselves:  “Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God.” (Philippians 2:5–6)  What does this mean?  It means, quite simply:  Do not be afraid to consider yourself as equal to God, for this is what Jesus did, and Jesus has called us to follow his lead.

As great as we believe Jesus is, he told us himself, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”  (John 14:12)

Let’s break this down a bit.  Those who believe in Jesus also believe in the power that he demonstrated.  Those who believe will also be able to accomplish miracles of the type that Jesus performed, not just because they believe in Jesus, but because they also believe in the power inherent in all of the children of the Most High as demonstrated by Jesus.  Furthermore, the miracles that the believers will be able to accomplish will be greater than those Jesus did.  He himself told us this.  Why?  Because when Jesus said this, his earth life was about to be cut short.  He was about to go to the Father, and he would not able to continue in the development of his abilities here on earth.

So let’s put this all into the context of Healing Our Planet.  We have already seen the skills we would need to accomplish this put into use at a smaller scale.  The key, then, becomes adapting those methods for the larger scale of the planet.  According to the very first principle in A Course in Miracles,

There is no order of difficulty in miracles.  One is not “harder” or “bigger” than another.  They are all the same. All expressions of love are maximal.

I’m up to the challenge.  Are you?
